What is #VESTIConversations?

Hosted by the owner and lead designer of VESTI,  Martha Rodriguez, #VESTIConversations is an open dialogue focused on our local culture. It’s premiere event launched a month ago and involved topics such as “What are you curious about?” and “What makes you feel alive?”. 

WHETHER YOU’RE FROM MINDANAO AND GREW UP IN NEW YORK OR HAVE TRAVELLED AROUND THE WORLD, OR HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IN CAGAYAN DE ORO, YOU ALWAYS NEED TO BE REKINDLED TO YOUR ROOTS.

Bisaya Culture on Comedy

For the second session of #VestiConversations, local media influencers had the opportunity to talk about how they started, where they are, why they chose to follow their passion, and most especially, what’s so different about the bisaya humor.

When asked about the core purpose of #VestiConversations, Martha Rodriguez had this to say.

To be counted, to speak up and to engage in things that really matter – the wholeness of being ourselves – true-blooded hard-core badass selves. To revisit the past, to re-align yourself and to know who you are. So let’s keep on growing and learning a thing or two from people around us!”
