The Wonderful Holiday Sister Journey of the Wonderland & Caravan VESTI Collections

For most of us, the Holidays is the season to rekindle past loves.  And we did exactly that.

We decided to bring back one of the first pieces we designed - the Mary Grace handbag.  In 2016, I won top 12 Accessory Designer in the Look of Style Awards by the British Council.  This award paved the way for my participation alongside other accessory designers to showcase masterpieces at Manila FAME’s Red Box.  A program by CITEM for designers to be given subsidy to create pieces with their chosen partner local manufacturer who specialises in Philippines’ top leather bag-making.

The collection’s goal in 2016 was simple: infuse colourful patterns of Yakan fabrics to genuine softest leather for a structurally elegant air and versatile to be used for work, traveling and even to fit a laptop on-the-go! The result? Modern silhouettes in satchels, handbags and clutches.

Not only did the program open a creative opportunity to showcase more of the Mindanao handwoven fabrics, it also allowed me to grow as a designer — constantly evolving for multifunctional dressing.

Today, our Wonderland and Caravan Collections pay homage to this past love.

With our Wonderland Collection, we added the metallic and eccentric weaves of Pis Syabit with the Inalaman and floral patterns of the Yakan for a polished look.  Plus patch pockets to keep your essentials secured, your masks, sanitiser, shades, crystals and other items you need to navigate this season.

While we are all feeling the festive mood, the Caravan is the mini-version of Wonderland.  Adding long leather sexy straps to be used as a body bag and a short leather handle to be used as a wristlet.  Its lightweight design seamlessly falls under the ’hand-free’ category whether you’re just going out for a quick brunch with friends or taking a weekend getaway trip with your family.
